I am the queen of birthdays. I love them, yours, mine, the bitch I can't stand down the hall's. Birthdays are days to have joy for the birthed. I love seeing people smile when they get a simple card from an unexpected source. The presents, the wrapping, the embarrassing waiters singing "Happy Happy birthday Happy Happy birthday" in some formulaic corporate rendition.
But BOY did I have a rough birthday yesterday! Wholly moly I have never simultaneously cried, talked (yelled) on the cell phone AND roller bladed. I am impressive I tell ya. I've also never gone from one terrible phone call to one fantastic call so many times in one day. At the end of the night...I was exhausted!
The highlight was Isaac, Amy and Vivi coming for lunch. That little girl is a fricken hottie at 14 months old...her daddy is in SO much trouble. And Isaac drove the cart which he thought was so cool. He's got a great feel for the steering wheel, that kid was turning corners like a Nascar pro.
So...for the first time ever I gotta say thank God it isn't my birthday anymore. I also gotta give a shout out to my friend Kelly who wouldn't take no for an answer and she and her BF made me a fantastic dinner with a beautiful cake and their rendition of happy birthday was perfect.
One other fun thing about yesterday...for all you Entourage fans...I was rollerblading home and passed Turtle sitting at a coffee shop with some buds. He was dressed like he does on the show...he's so gangsta.
